Interlining - why use it?

Interlining has a number of features which make it very useful when used as part of your window treatments.

Interlined Pinch Pleat heading

The main reason to use it is because it improves the look of your curtains or blinds.  By adding "body" to them, it helps them to hang nicely, which is really helpful when you are using thin to medium weight fabrics.

It can also help with insulation and it can make quite a difference when used in a large window; the amount of heat that is lost is dramatically reduced.  This type of lining is very commonly used for door curtains where draughts can be an issue.

Interlining isn't always necessary; depending on the fabric being used for your work or the size of the window they are for. So, we will advise when we feel that interlining would be of benefit to your curtains or blinds and we are always happy to show you examples of interlined work we have at windows in the shop.
