Saxony carpets are a deeper piled carpet manufactured in a similar way to velvet where the pile is cut to a longer length than other carpet types. As a result a highly luxurious feel underfoot is achieved. Due to the high work level involved in the manufacturing process, most saxony carpets are man-made fibres, to reduce cost, however some 100% wool carpets are available, so please ask.


Saxony
Saxony is similar to Shag pile in as much as it also features longer tufts than some of the other styles. It can best be described as a dense cut pile and people often favour it for use in bedrooms and living rooms.
